Sunraysia has won the overall standing at the Victorian Ten Pin bowling Country Cup event held here over the weekend.

Around 140 competitors from 10 different bowling centres took part in the tournament, which had not been won by Sunraysia since 1990, although the locals had gone close by finishing 2nd in Ballarat last year and at Mildura back in the year 2000.
In the individual women’s section Lisa Garioch finished in top place from Michelle Lodge, also from Mildura was 2nd and Kelly Jones of Shepparton.
In the men’s section Kelvin Wilkins won the game and series section, including a perfect score of 300, only the third time this has been achieved in the history of the country cup competition.
