In a surprise result the Mildura Lady Heat smashed last year’s Division One premiers Warnambool in the Big V match Saturday night.
The home side led at quarter time but a 20 point second term and a 26 point third term saw Mildura run away with the match.
The victory was done with only six players making the trip and without Vanessa Power, who was not available.
But new American import Justina Udenze dominated and threw 31 points while Brooke Gathercole shot 18, Tracey Sherlock 11 and Karla Allen nine points.
Later in the night the Mildura Heat men’s team also had a decisive win over Warnambool winning by 75 points to 56.
The Heat led all night and drew away in the second half with Jermaine Williams dominating with 29 points while Shannon Erskine threw 15, Brent Symons 9 and Kris Clark 8 points.
