A Mildura man has been flown by Air Ambulance to Melbourne after being injured in a car crash on Kulkyne Way, near Iraak on Monday morning.
It is believed the 44 year old man turned out of Iraak Road into the path of a Toyota vehicle containing two women and two school children.
The two school children were on their way to attend school at Nangiloc around 8am when the accident happened.
None of the people in the Toyota were injured but the driver of the Mitshbishi Lancer was trapped in his car by his foot for about 10 minutes,.
He was freed by emergency services personnel and treated for injuries at the Mildura Base Hospital before being conveyed to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.
Polioce said the man was lucky to be alive from the accident.
It is believed he suffered a broken leg, broken ribs, a punctured lung, cuts and bruises.
