While the numbers were well down on previous years a sizeable crowd gathered to watch a diminished Mardi Gras Parade on Saturday evening.
The parade, which had been cancelled at the last minute last weekend, took place in bright sunshine with hundreds of onlookers gathering along the route to watch the floats. The crowd gathered after the parade to enjoy entertainment at the Nowingi Place Stage and a fireworks display after dark.
