Merbein South wasted no time in chasing the runs against Mildura West in the one day fixture held on Saturday.

The only time they slowed down the scoring was when an Adam Thomson boundary appeared to go into the eighth fairway at the Mildura Golf Course.
The game was halted for more than five minutes while a team of people attempted to locate the cricket ball in the rough.
Just as umpires were about to decide which of two used balls could be used to resume the match the original ball was found lodged under a wheel of a vehicle parked between the cricket oval and the golf club boundary.
At that stage the Thomson brothers Adam and Mark were making an onslaught of the West bowlers and from 19 overs had scored 1/77 chasing 114.
The return of Mark White to opener saw a 58 run partnership and then the Thomson brothers carried the score to 84e before second wicket fell.
Yet again there was a middle order collapse with the side slumping from 2/105 to be 7/111 before Andrew Fairlie and Tony Trinick got the required runs.
It took 26 overs to get the last 40 runs for the victory.
Chris Williams hit up 25 of his the West tally of 114 with Shane and Tony Trinick each getting two wickets.
Mildura Settlers got away to a winning start with the most consistent openers in the competition –Ritchie Wyld and Ben Rowles – putting together a 92 run opening stand.
But from being 0/92, wickets tumbled to a score of 4/117 before Mildura Settlers finished fining with 8/183cc.
Nick Jensen took three wickets while David Hogarth and Bret Cummings captured two, before the pair also made the better batting scores for their side in an unsuccessful chase.
Irymple batted first with opener Brendan Payne making the second top score of the day(69)  in First Division to give his side a chance.
At one stage Irymple was 2/132 but once Payne was out the wickets tumbled and after 40 overs a respectable tally of 170 runs was set.
But Coomealla Wentworth lost only Tim Plumridge in the chase with the side requiring just 30 overs to win with Jeremy Giddings remaining 76 not out and first drop Luke Cullinan 36 not out.
