Mildura Police crack down on drink drivers over weekend

Three drink drivers with high readings had their licences suspended after being intercepted by Mildura Police in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Around 3.15am a 20 year old Mildura man was intercepted while driving in 13th Street Mildura and after a breath test Police suspended his licence.
They said the driver had recorded a reading almost four times over the limit at point 185.
He will be summonsed to appear in Mildura Court at a later date.
Around 4.30am Saturday Police stopped in 14th street, a vehicle being driven by a 24 year old Mildura.
Police said that the woman had been driving when more than twice the legal limit.
The woman’s licence was suspended after it was detected that she been driving with a reading of point 116.
Then around 5.40am Police intercepted a vehicle in Deakin Avenue and breath tested the 30 year old female driver.
Police said the woman had been caught driving at a level of point 152, which is three times over the legal limit.
The woman’s driver’s licence was suspended.
On Saturday night Police intercepted a 19 year old probationary driver who is facing a fine and licence suspension for driving after consuming alcohol.
Around 1.50am on Sunday morning a 33 year old man was intercepted in Deakin Avenue with a reading three times over the limit.
His reading of point 15 resulted in the immediate suspension of his licence along with a summons to appear in Court at a later stage
