The Millewa Football League will play two finals matches this season at Gol Gol and the other two at Lake Cullulleraine.
League President Graham Robertson said that delegates had confirmed that the first and second semi finals will again be played at the Gol Gol Oval as a double header.
He said Club delegates had also decided to conduct both the Preliminary Final and the Grand Final at Lake Cullulleraine.
“We are going to promote both finals as a family type day along with plenty of attractions for kids,” he said.
Mr Robertson said that while in the past few years the Grand Final has been played on the number two oval, this year’s matches would be contested on the Number One oval.
“This oval has a turf wicket area but it has not been used for some time as the finals in recent years had been switched to Number Two.”
“We’ve been talking with Council this year and the surface of the number one ground and with a bit of good rain this year it really is looking good.”
Mr Robertson said that the League would have to fix a few little things up so the matches can be played but this is in hand.
“The number one oval has a toilet block each side and this will greatly benefit the public.”
