Mildura man arrested for murder of South Australia man

A 45-year-old Mildura man has been arrested in Mildura in connection with a murder at Monash in the South Australia’s Riverland last week.

 

Mid-last week police were called to check on the welfare of a 49-year-old man at his Brown Road home in the town of Monash.
 
Officers found the man had been murdered and his car stolen. The cause of death is not being disclosed at this time.
 
Investigations led police across the border and for the last two days detectives from the South Australia  Major Crime Investigation Branch along with Riverland CIB have been working closely with Victorian Police at Mildura.
 
Late Wednesday police seized the car belonging to the victim in Mildura. 
 
This will be forensically examined.
 
The arrested man will be charged at the Mildura Police Station. 
 
He will appear in the Mildura Magistrates Court Friday morning, and around the same time  Police will seek his extradition to South Australia on a charge of murder.
