SuniTAFE will be hosting the inaugural Cultivator Regional Design Conference on November 12 and 13.
The conference will provide the opportunity for regional design and related industries to showcase their area of expertise, and present to other associated businesses, counterparts, schools and industries.
In addition, the conference will highlight environmental, sustainability and best practices through design.
The idea of conducting the Regional Design Conference was formed through an industry forum which was established by SuniTAFE and La Trobe University at the beginning of 2009.
“The forum, made up of industry representatives identified a range of issues regarding the need for better industry and education relationships, according to SuniTAFE’s Educational Business Manager for Education and Media Craig Hocking.
The conference program includes an Education Day which is open to school students and staff and will consist of local industry representatives showcasing their area of expertise and promoting careers in design.
The Industry Day is open to the general public and will showcase five key note speakers from various creative disciplines.
The speakers will discuss their inspirations and influences on design.
In celebration of the conference commencing in 2010 an official breakfast launch will be held on Thursday October 21 at SuniTAFE’s Restaurant Délice.
