Young Mildura speedway rider Jordan Stewart has taken out the 2017 Victorian Under 21 speedway title.
After attending the World Grand Prix event as a spectator on Saturday night at the Etihad Stadium, Stewart went to Broadford on Sunday to compete in the State final.
Stewart beat Josh McDonald, who was second, while Mildura’s Jaimon Lidsey finished third.
In 4th place, after taking a spill, was Mildura rider Cooper Riordan.
The young Mildura speedway stars will all take their part in the Phil Crump international meeting next Sunday night.
The feature solo event will see the World Champion Jason Doyle appearing, along with Justin Sedgmen, Sam Masters and Rohan Tungate who also rode in the Melbourne Grand Prix event.
The previous night on November 4, the international riders will be at Gilman Speedway in Adelaide for the Jack Young Cup meeting, along with a benefit meeting for the Australian test team which is managed by former Merbein rider Mark Lemon.
